Three Reasons to Celebrate at St. Francis!
1. Irene Kaufman’s One-Year Anniversary
We’re delighted to celebrate Irene Kaufman, our dedicated office administrator, who completed her first year with us on Tuesday, July 22nd. Irene has been a steady and joyful presence at St. Francis, and we’re grateful for all she brings to our community. We’ll raise a glass in her honor during our upcoming congregational meeting on August 24th, 2025—mark your calendars! (More details about the meeting below.)
2. St. Clare Room Updates Completed
It’s been a long time coming! Years ago, we began a fundraiser to update the St. Clare Room, but progress was delayed by COVID, staffing transitions, and other major events. Now, as part of our recent building renovations, the updates are finally complete. The St. Clare Room is now a beautiful, warm, and flexible space serving as the pastor’s office, staff lounge, and a meeting/consultation room. Be sure to stop by and see the transformation next time you’re in the building!
3. Our New Website is Live!
After more than five years in development, our new website is finally live! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped bring it to life. The site is designed to be dynamic and regularly updated, so
while it’s still a work in progress, the major features are in place. Visit us online and take a look: St. Francis Lutheran Church. Let’s give thanks for these milestones—and for the community that makes them possible!

Exploring the Book of Revelation - A Sermon Series by Pastor Bea Chun
July & August 2025 / Sundays at 11:00 AM
Will there be a Rapture?
How will we recognize the Antichrist?
Can we know when the world will end?
What does the Bible actually say about the “End Times”?
Few books in the Bible have caused more confusion, speculation, or fear than the Book of Revelation. From medieval artwork to modern media, it has often been portrayed with terrifying images and doomsday predictions. But is that what the book is really about?
This summer, Pastor Bea Chun invites you to take a deeper look. In this sermon series, we’ll explore Revelation not as a script for disaster, but as a profound and hope-filled message written to strengthen communities living under oppression and uncertainty.
Come discover how this ancient vision speaks to our world today—with its powerful images of resistance, perseverance, and ultimate healing.
Thank you to everyone who responded to the survey!

Flash Flooding Devastates Central Texas — Your Help Is Urgently Needed
In the early hours of July 4, torrential rains caused the Guadalupe River in central Texas to rise more than 25 feet in just minutes. The result was catastrophic flash flooding that tore through the Texas Hill Country, leaving destruction in its wake. As of July 21, at least 134 lives have been lost, and some people remain missing.
The flooding has devastated communities across several counties—many of them already facing high levels of poverty and home to large numbers of elderly adults and people with disabilities.
Lutheran World Relief is on the ground and responding. Within just 12 hours, hundreds of affected families received emergency supplies—including essential items for survival and recovery.
Your gift today can help rush critical aid to families who have lost everything. To learn more and make a donation, please visit:
