PROGRAMS, MINISTRY & PARTNERSHIPS

Our Impromptu Choir is taking a break!

The choir will be on a break during the summer months, returning September 20. Stay tuned for updates, or feel free to send a message to the Director of Music, Ray Capiral at musicdir@sflcsf.org. If you are interested in joining, know that no prior choir experience is necessary -- just a willingness to sing and share in joyful music-making.

Interested in helping to lead worship on a Sunday?

You can easily connect to all worship-related sign-ups here.

Please note: some worship roles require training. If you are signing up with this link for the very first time, please check in first by emailing your interest to serve to pastor@sflcsf.org and they will work with you to set up the training you will need.

Childcare during worship

Childcare is available during worship downstairs with Izobella, and alternatively there is an area at the back of the sanctuary with books and quiet toys so parents can be with their child(ren) and still participate in worship.  If childcare is needed, please call ahead to the parish office to let us know.

Outreach Volunteer Opportunities

Our Outreach Team spearheads events and welcomes volunteers interested in supporting community connections. Neighborhood events are listed each month on the calendar on our website. See something you're interested in? Feel free to call the parish office for more information at (415) 621-2635 or email your questions to admin@sflcsf.org.

Senior Lunch Program

The Senior Lunch takes place year-round on Wednesdays in the parish hall. In addition to a hot meal, there is a calendar of events each month including live music, movies, videos of old TV series and a celebration of birthdays complete with birthday cake. For more information call the parish office at (415) 621-2635.

Weekly Food Pantry

We work closely with the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank to host one of their distribution locations every Tuesday morning. Eligibility to participate is determined by the food bank, and various resources they provide can be found online here.

To register at the Food Pantry at St. Francis, a photo ID or utility bill with your current address is needed. For more information about our Food Pantry, call the Parish Office at (415) 621-2635.

FRIENDS OF ST. FRANCIS CHILDCARE CENTER

Their Mission

To provide comprehensive educationally based childcare services in a culturally and economically diverse urban setting. The Center’s model promotes the physical, intellectual, and emotional well-being of the children served through active involvement of parents and support from the community.

Their Work

For nearly 50 years, Friends of St. Francis Child Care Center has provided high-quality, affordable childcare and innovative early education programs for the San Francisco community. The inclusive early childhood education program welcomes children from all cultural and economic backgrounds, fostering an environment where they can thrive, learn, and grow. Licensed for ages two to five, the Center currently enrolls eight toddlers and 30 preschoolers.

Parent engagement and family support are integrated throughout the programs. Through intentional teaching and a thoughtfully designed natural environment, we inspire curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. Parent tuition and four subsidy funding streams ensure families of all incomes can access services, fostering a more inclusive community. Now, more than ever, the Center relies on continued funding to sustain this vital support. For more information, or to make a donation, go to https://www.fosf-childcare.org/.
